Members enjoying networking reception on the Jack Daniels Patio at L’Auburge Resort.

GSSC’s 2014 Fall Meeting–which was held October 1 and 2, 2014, in Lake Charles, Louisiana –was a great success!  This was the first time we gathered at the L’Auberge Casino Resort. Everyone in attendance had positive comment regarding the venue.

As usual, the GSSC Board of Directors met on Wednesday afternoon.  The general meeting kicked off that evening with a networking reception on the Jack Daniels Patio, overlooking the pool area.  Members and guests enjoyed tasty Hors D’oeuvres and beverages.  This reception was one of the most well attended in GSSC history.

We started the next morning off with a welcome from the Mayor of Lake Charles, the Honorable Randy Roach.  After recognizing our 19 new members that joined over the last 12 months, we took time to thanks and recognize our generous sponsors during “Sponsor Spotlight” time.  Each sponsor had a few minutes to tell the group about their company and services.

The meeting featured good food, great conversations, informative presentations and a few door prizes. The meeting  adjourned at 3:45 p.m., October 2, 2014.  Thanks for helping make this meeting such a success!

Special thanks to our sponsors who helped make GSSC’s Fall 2014 meeting possible!
