About The Event
The workplace is changing, and competition for technically skilled craft professionals continues to stiffen as similar industry sectors compete for the same skilled workers and the current workforce ages.
GSSC's Fall Meeting focuses on strategies and best practices models for the recruitment and retention of talent for the 21st Century workplace. Meeting topics will focus on the value of career pathways, career academies, pre-hire training, and apprenticeship as recruiting tools as well as sessions that address the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups, including women, returning military, and underemployed. The impact of social media on the recruitment process will also be featured.

Ryan Lee

An operations minded human resource professional with 10 years of experience in recruitment, training and development, workforce analytics and other human resource roles in the shipbuilding industry, Ryan has demonstrated leadership through successfully navigating multiple teams through a rapid staff ramp up and managing projects for continuous development. He has served on various boards, panels and advisory councils to support workforce development, community engagement and promote Austal training and recruitment activities.

Jerome Eymard
Director of Human Resources

Jerome Eymard is the Director of Human Resources for Bollinger Shipyards, LLC, a leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry, delivered in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
He started his career in 1999 with Bollinger Shipyards and has grown with the company over the years in various Human Resources positions and capacities. Jerome has extensive knowledge in workforce development issues, compensation planning, EEO/OFCCP compliance, staffing planning, and other Human Resources development functions. He is an active participant in local and regional workforce development committees and initiatives. Jerome graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and a Master of Business Administration. He also maintains an active SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification.

Mike Leleux
Recruiting Training

Halter Marine
Leleux is responsible for training and recruiting at Halter Marine and established the first apprenticeship program for the company. Additionally, he serves as the Major Initiative Team Lead for the National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) Workforce Development Panel in addition to serving on the Board of Directors at GSSC.
Leleux served in the United States Navy for 21 years in Administration, Training, Finance, and Human Resources and 4 years with Trinity Yachts in Training and Recruitment before joining the team at VT Halter Marine.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) with additional course work in Training & Development and Administration. Leleux completed his Certified Training Professional Certificate at USM.

Stephanie Koch
