Call for Proposals
Are you interested in presenting at GSSC's Winter Meeting? Simply complete and submit our online submission form for consideration. Proposals will be accepted through Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Possible Session Formats
Presentation: 45-minute traditional format
The audience for GSSC meetings typically include a broad representation from the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, supply chain, staffing, education, and government entities.
Topics of Interest
The theme for this year's meeting is The Labor Market: A Looming Crisis. We are looking for informative, and interactive sessions that showcase workforce innovation and best practices in a post COVID environment as it relates to talent acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Proposals must be submitted electronically via our online form.
Deadline for Submission. The deadline for submission is close of business on Sunday. Proposals will not be accepted past this date unless otherwise stated on GSSC's meeting site.
Evaluation process. Each proposal will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Demonstrates innovation/best practice related to workforce development.
Relevant and timely to meeting theme.
Overall appeal of session content.
Program Selection Process. GSSC's Board of Directors will review all proposals. Final selections will be based on quality, intended audiences, and alignment with conference theme and will be made no later than close of business on December 7. All proposers will be notified via email of their acceptance or rejection by that date.
A/V Equipment/Internet Connections
The meeting room will be equipped with an LCD projector, screen, microphone, and Internet. Presenters must bring their own computer equipment.
Handouts are encouraged. Presenters are responsible for providing handouts. Please prepare handouts in advance of the meeting. Presenters are encouraged to provide an electronic version of any presentation handouts to be made available on GSSC's website after the meeting.
